YOUR VISIT
Referrals
You will require a referral from your optometrist or GP to claim back some of your visit through Medicare.
For us to best prepare for your visit and allocate you the appropriate amount of time to see you and perform any other tests you may require, we prefer you or your referrer to send a copy of your referral from your optometrist or doctor in advance. If you can’t do that, that’s ok too.
Pupil dilating drops
It is likely that you will need to have dilating drops put in your eyes during your appointment. These drops usually blur your vision and make you sensitive to light for approximately 4 - 6 hours afterwards. As such, it is recommended that you don’t drive yourself home from your appointment.
Change of appointment time
If you realise you won’t be able to make your allocated appointment time, please call as soon as you know. We will be happy to re-schedule you for a more suitable time.
